There’s never an age limit when it comes to fighting for what you believe in.  Brennan Gilmore tweeted a photo Sunday of his 97-year-old grandfather, John Middlemas, kneeling in support of the #TakeAKnee movement, started by former San Francisco 49ers football player Colin Kaepernick in 2016 over police violence against African Americans.  President Donald Trump’s outspoken criticism against athletes who don’t stand up for the national anthem sparked this protest among people like Middlemas in solidarity with NFL athletes who kneeled on the field this weekend.  SEE ALSO: #TakeAKnee protests are about police violence, not the military or the Constitution […]

Image: Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images It’s every social media manager’s worst nightmare.  Dan Scavino Jr., who runs social media for President Donald Trump, accidentally tweeted out an attack on NBC News from both his account as well as Trump’s account on Wednesday.  Scavino quickly deleted the tweet. The tweet on Trump’s account is still up. I don’t think Trump did this tweet pic.twitter.com/HXZHPr6Nls — Joe Perticone (@JoePerticone) October 4, 2017 The error provides a glimpse behind the scenes of how Trump’s Twitter account is run. Oh no, Ted whyImage: CQ-Roll Call, Inc. You know some intern’s going to cop the blame for this. A very NSFW video is going viral on Twitter, (no) thanks to Ted Cruz’s official Twitter account. The Texas senator and former U.S. presidential hopeful liked a pretty graphic two-minute long video from @SexuallPosts. SEE ALSO: Seth Rogen expertly trolls fervent Trump supporter on Twitter With over 3 million followers, the like from Cruz’s verified account would have pushed the video to the news feeds of tens, if not hundreds of thousands of his followers’ timelines. "What a crowd, what a turnout."Image: JIM WATSON/AFP/Getty Images After all these months it’s still unclear whether or not Donald Trump knows he’s not on reality television. Since his inauguration the man has made his obsession with ratings and crowd size very clear, and on Tuesday when he visited Texas for a briefing on Tropical Storm Harvey relief efforts, he just couldn’t help himself from celebrating the really great press that came out of the storm. Legend.Image: Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images Barack Obama may not be the president anymore but that’s not stopping him from making history. In the wake of the deadly clash between neo-Nazi hate groups and protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia over the weekend, President Donald Trump’s usually eager Twitter fingers remained inactive for hours  while Obama rose to the challenge of addressing the nation. Now, just days after the former president responded to the tragic violence with a powerful Nelson Mandela quote, his tweet has become the most-liked in history. by Jason

Image: Shutterstock / Andrey_Popov At some point, the internet became a get-rich-quick scheme. There’s a simple formula to it: Smart people with good ideas receive millions of dollars to build something. If that something generates billions of dollars, it is a success. If it does not, it is a failure. Such “failures” include: Twitter, Soundcloud, Vine, Reddit. At varying times, each of these companies had the hallmarks of “success”millions of engaged users, venture capital money, a good brand. Now, Twitter is limping along, Soundcloud is in a death spiral, Vine is gone, and Reddit is still trying to figure things […]
