A magical thing happened on Sunday: 576 border collies with smiling faces gathered together, apparently breaking the unofficial record for the most border collies in one place at one time. The event, which was put on by the Border Collie Owners of South Australia, was held in Willaston Oval. The group confirmed on its Facebook page that 576 collies attended the event (though we have to admit, we see some Australian shepherds in there, but we’re not judging because they’re all good dogs). Extracting a rat from a bathroom when you’ve got a cat seems like a pretty reasonable solution. Cats are natural predators, and they often catch small rodents.  Turns out, though, rats are probably a little too big for a house cat.  Shortly after using a broom to scare the rat out from behind the sink, this dude realizes that he has made a very, very large mistake. He promptly screams bloody murder, as his poor cat tries desperately to search for higher ground.  Eventually the two escape the bathroom; the fate of the rat is still unknown. Let’s be real […]

She was also sheltering 21 dogs (some of which belonged to her neighbors) and wasn’t sure how they would all get to safety. SEE ALSO: Incredibly pragmatic dog braves Hurricane Harvey with, yes, an entire bag of dog food Luckily, the dog rescue crew came along. They loaded all 21 dogs on the boat — Walter walked alongside — and hauled everyone away. “I was worried there was […]

Dogs and cars are making it through the hurricane.Image: DARREN ABATE/EPA-EFE/REX/Shutterstock A dog named Otis wasn’t about to go hungry during Hurricane Harvey.  As the hurricane made landfall, a dog was spotted wandering around Sinton, Texas carrying a full bag of dog food.  The German shepherd mix wasn’t a stray—he just got loose from a screen porch.  “I kept yelling his name and yelling his name and he wasn’t around,” his caretaker Salvador Segovia told the Houston Chronicle.  The dog belongs to Segovia’s 5-year-old grandson, who had evacuated in anticipation of flooding. Otis is well-known in the town of 6,000, […]

New York City residents are used to seeing strange things on the subway dogs in suitcases, impromptu graduation ceremonies, people vacuuming and eating off of subway platforms, you name it. So, honestly, a guy carrying a full-grown peacock onto the train doesn’t really shock anyone, but it’s still pretty cool. if possible, can you please provide more details about this incident?^TCB NYCT Subway (@NYCTSubway) July 27, 2017 This is likely the only positive thing that has happened on the subway this week.
